(...) I am glad that Piotrek Cieślikowski stands at Scott Hamilton's side for the second time. They are on equal terms. They are next to each other on the stage, play the same instruments. To be frank, few giants of the global jazz would allow musicians playing the same instrument stand next to them. Piotr Cieślikowski, who stood at the master's side showed that he is neither a better saxophonist, nor a worse one He is simply a great saxophonist and we can regret the fact that we live in a country, where huge record companies first ask how much records can be sold and not if this is going to be beautiful music.

Piotr Bałtroczyk – PEGAZ, April 5th 2004

When it comes to playing tenor saxophone, one should best perform ethereal ballades with puffs of air, with a simply sexual affectation. That is exactly how Hamilton and Cieślikowski played last weekend. One could feel an extrasensory understanding between the saxophonists which is far from common. When two musicians playing the same instruments stand on the stage, it is natural to expect rivalry, involuntary contests and showing off one's jazz erudition. Hamilton and ' Stork' did not get any near to that even for a moment. Instead of that what we got were 6 quarters of exquisite jazz – something that is rare to find on Polish stages.

Piotr Iwicki – Gazeta Wyborcza – August 2001

The hero of the night, Piotr ' Stork' Cieślikowski once again proved that he's already the leading expert on tenor saxophone in Poland(...) Cieślikowski does not try to be a fashionable saxophonist but a good saxophonist. He cherishes the old masters' traditions, although on Sunday one could sometimes hear the characteristic Shorterish note and shades associated with Stan Getz. This is a good thing, as in the all-embracing fashion for 'Breckers', 'Sanborns' and 'Redmans', cherishing the traditions prior to the neobop era is a precious thing.

Piotr Iwicki – Gazeta Wyborcza 1997 – 'Akwarium' concert review.

The recent visit overseas, cooperation with prime educators, jazz theoreticians and outstanding musicians has taught him a great deal. Firstly, Cieślikowski respects the notes, instead of playing sound cascades he plays savoury phrases. Secondly, Cieślikowski's phrases are his own ones. You would look in vain for references to somebody else's solos or mannerist ways of playing of other tenor players. Cieślikowski means jazz elegance, the essence of swinging play – soul and sounds straight from the heart. (...)

Piotr Iwicki – Gazeta Wyborcza 1999.

(...) This time we will hear the quartet of Piotr 'Stork' Cieślikowski, saxophonist about whom we have written several times, and written only positively. Here, together with Mariusz "Fazy" Mielczanek and Adam Pierończyk, the most prominent saxophonist of the young generation. What is most important is that although he is an expert on tenor saxophone, he does not try to become the next Michael Brecker. 'Stork' is rather Zoot Sims or Stan Getz, to put it shortly a nostalgic, pastel poet of that instrument. (...)
